This will be a test for the new drainage in town.......Anyone got any pictures?
Enjoying 'Retirement'....So many jobs to do, I don't know how I ever had time to work!

No pictures but my advice would be do not go out.
Just come back to 88 from Market Village. The back entrance was/is closed so forced to use a very flooded main road. Only one lane is useable, just.
Turning into 88 very deep, it clears and then is horrible for a long way up.

Some biblical downpours over the past 48 hours, and a real treat for those weather watchers in the hills or a high floor condo watching the storms as they come rolling in from the sea.

Seen it a lot worse, barely up to kerb height.

Actual up to the door on my Honda Jazz. Not seen it like this for 3 years. Of course it depends where you were in Hua Hin.

The rainy season (if that's what has started) is getting off to a bad start in Pattaya and surrounding areas.

1) Third Road

2) Sukhumvit entering Pattaya from the south.

Weather Warning

"Heavy to very heavy rain in the upper Thailand And strong wind wave in the Andaman Sea "
No. 3 Time Issued : May 16, 2017

The upper Thailand is heavy to very heavy rain occur. It affects the following sector:
The Northern part: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Lamphun, Phayao, Phare, Nan, Uttoradit, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Phichit, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet and Tak.

The Northeastern part: Loei, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Udon Thani, Kalasin, Roi Et, Maha Sarakham, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram and Surin.

The Central part: Ratchaburi, Kanchanaburi, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Nakhon Sawan, Lop Buri and Saraburi.

The Eastern part: Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

All people in these areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rain which may cause sudden floods and flash floods.

Wind-wave in the Andaman Sea, wave height 2-4 meters, should proceed with caution. All ships should keep ashore during this period.

The active low pressure cell is covering the coastal of Martaban, Myanmar. Expected it will move to Myanmar during 16-18 May cause more rain with heavy to very heavy rain somewhere of the North, the Northeast and the Central. All people in upper Thailand should beware of heavy rain and flash flood in this period.

The southwest monsoons across the Andaman Sea are strength with isolated heavy rain in the South and the East. The strong wind waves 2-4 meters high in the Andaman Sea. All ships proceed with caution and small boats should keep a shore.

The southwest monsoon remain covers Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand effect continuous rain cover Thailand.



This advisory is in effect on 16 May 2017, at 11.00 p.m.

The next issue will be at 17 May 2017 at 05.00 a.m.
