It is well balanced and you adjust cutting height by just tipping it up or down

I know this is an advertisement but just trying to help the seller. A description for potential buyers is that it is a strimmer on wheels which is a more comfortable option than over your shoulder. Readily available at Lazada.

It is possibly Chinese but do not know. The name on it is: ‘MC’ and all of them we have seen have that same name. The engine is 5.5hp. We bought it in a shop in Khon Kean that sells Kwai Leks - iron buffalo walk behind tractors. It is heavy duty and weighs 77 kilos so compared it to an over shoulder trimmer is almost like the difference between a pet house cat and a cougar but is so well balanced it is easy to handle. I see that Lazada does list them at ฿4170 to ฿4753 with no engine and no spare blades and belts

https://www.lazada.co.th/products/-i27 ... 9.126158.0

We do also have an older mega heavy duty mowing attachment for a Kwai Lek with 73cm & 81cm blades and with no wheels weighs about twice this one that we would sell for ฿3000

Sorry mate, it is nothing like a "strimmer". Where I come from it is called a "slasher". Metal blades will cut through small scrub / bushes. A strimmer just uses a length of nylon fishing line only suitable for grass.

A strimmer has both. I have one. Bought with metal blades but 'nylon string' attachment can be bought at any DIY store. The nylon string is much much thicker than the old electric variety with multiple 'working ends' and will cut through small bushes.
I have both. The electric one is next to useless and as you say is only good for grass.

I think that the machine on sale here would be referred to as a brush cutter and the over the shoulder type with a metal blade the same, although the same machine with a nylon line is normally called a strimmer, so many people would call either of the over the shoulder versions a strimmer, irrespective of cutting method

Agreed with the wording Dannie. I have an over the shoulder one having looked at both, with wheels and without. The business end is interchangeable from blades to heavy duty 'string'. Some have a very easy change (push on). The problem with blades is that if you need to go to a wall, the blades will certainly damage the wall whereas the nylon won't.

I appreciate this is an advert and we shouldn't be carrying on a conversation about the various alternatives so maybe we should leave it at that.
Apologies to the OP.
