New Thai Passport

This has probably been covered before but I can't find any specific information this morning.

My wife needs a new Thai passport. We'll probably go up to BKK next week to apply for it. Looking on the internet, I see there's mention of a passport office at SC Plaza near the Southern Bus Terminal (Sai Taai Mai). Does anyone know if this is still functioning? If so, it would be rather convenient if we get a minibus up and so save us having to travel across BKK to Chaeng Wattana.

Oh, one more question. It's years since I've braved a minibus to BKK. I think they now stop at the Southern Bus Terminal rather than Victory Monument? Is that correct?

PS, if this thread conflicts with any other, can another mod move it?

My girlfriend did her renewal at the satellite passport office Klong Toey MRT station. She booked an appointment online, turned up at the allotted time, and had a new passport within 8 minutes.
