Recommended romantic resorts?

Post by Henrikas »

A couple of years ago, my wife and I had a couple of days at the Evason Hua Hin resort, in one of the pool villas. It was excellent, both the pool villa and the food at the resort restaurants.

We're back in Hua Hin again, and considering another couple of days at a similar resort, and I wanted to check any recommendations anyone here might have. What we are looking for is:

- Resort with private pool villa.
- Near Hua Hin (not more than 1 hr drive)
- At least decent dining options on site for breakfast and dinner
- Priced lower or similar to Evason (seem to remember that a pool villa there is around 4500 thb).

Any and all recommendations are very welcome!

4500 THB sounds far too cheap for a pool villa - I saw this being advertised as an “offer” and it’s nearly 20,000 for 2 nights including breakfast and one dinner

Well, I had a look at their site, and checked room rates from Tuesday to Thursday next week. See the screenshot for the result - all rates except for the absolute cheapest one includes breakfast, and granted, it's not 4500, but that was the rate we paid four years ago, but 5141 isn't that far off. Does not include the one dinner on the offer you linked to, the spa or the shuttle to Hua Hin, but we don't need the latter, and the former we can pay on site (or opt for the package which is approx thb 1500 more and get spa included).

These days were picked at random, might be cheaper days out there too. Image

At that price, it’s a very good offer

Is the key not 'The Best Available Rate'?
