Hua Hin Beach - Toilets/Showers
Hua Hin Beach - Toilets/Showers
I heard they were building toilets/showers somewhere but can't find any information online, is this true?
Thanks

Re: Hua Hin Beach - Toilets/Showers
Don't know.
A public toilet would be a first for Hua Hin (AFAIK) - the big question would be who is going to keep it clean..?
As for showers - why?
It can't be stated often enough that the sea at Hua HIn is dangerous. Aside from being none too clean, there are eddies and submerged rocks covered with razor sharp barnacles. Cha Am is also hazardous - there have been several drownings there, probably from rip tides.
If you want to go in the sea, take a baht bus up to Khao Takiab

I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly...

When I was there before Christmas, I noticed that it looked like they were installing something like that where they're improving the access to the beach in the center of town near the Centara but it wasn't completed at that time.

All the beech restaurants in Khao Takiab have toilets and showers. Why anyone would go to Hua Hin beech is completely beyond me.

Thank you Seve G for an actual answer instead of someone moaning.
Re: Hua Hin Beach - Toilets/Showers
Haven't there always been toilets and showers under the covered section of the main approach to the beach? On the right hand side just past the Tourist Police office.
Maybe they were just toilets but I'm sure I've seen people walking out with towels as if they'd just showered. And there was always a lady outside taking money.
Must admit, I've never been in.

Damn, welcome to the club ant6783, you have learned the tactics of the inhabitants of this Hen House really quickly..!
Have not been there in a long time but there used to be showers at the beach at the military base south of town.
When we go to the beach we always take along a small jug of water for rinsing the salt off before getting into the car

The toilets in the archway leading to the beach have squat toilets and Thai style shower dousing. It's not great at all but it is there

Your very welcome, enter or exit the beach on Alley 61 next to the Centara Grand.
I think you've entered where the Chinese Temple is.
Kind regards
Derek
