Electricians!! Ceiling fan capacitor ratings

Hi All,

I am wanting to replace capacitors on 3 of my ceiling fans. These are the 5 wire type cbb61 450v going to a 3 speed switch. The uf ratings are 1.5/1.5/2.0 uf . I have been to a few shops in town but they seem to frown when they see a 5 wire capacitor, said I need to wire in 3 capacitors. I have looked on Lazada and they have the 5 wire types, the closest being a 1.5/2.0/3.0 uf. Is this ok to use? Slight increase in the rating...

True, you can wire in 3 capacitors. Its what we did and more robust, so longer lasting anyway than the all in one pot combination. Or try AliExpress for a larger range of selections
