Driving licence for my (thai)girlfriend!

Could someone give me some advice how to get a driving licence for my girlfriend,who has no idea how to drive a car!

Can I teach her myself or are there some kind of driving schools around here in Hua Hin!?
I have a thai driving licence myself and of course I could teach her myself,but where??

I would suggest that she takes a driving course for a week, they are professionally run and cost about 3,500 baht. She will actually get some experience with the roads here which is far more useful that reversing in a car park (which is what the test consists of).

If you already have a Thai license you'll know the drill in Pranburi already then.

Mastermariner60, there is a driving school on the right going out of town on the Pulau-U road, about a Km or so, it just looks like an office. Last year they were charging 3000Bt for a five day course of a few hours a day, which just gets you the license by doing the reversing around cones bit, or for 5000Bt you got ten days with more practical road instruction. They sort out the test within the price, and they said they would repeat the course for free if you fail. My partner just needed a license for insurance purposes and passed after the basic course with no problems.

I (we) are going through the motions of driving lessons right now.
Once you have gone over the railway do not take the next right to Pala Au. Go straight on, and it's the second last shop of the first block on the right. There are no signs outside, but the front window is covered in traffic sign stickers.

Ten hours costs 4000 baht for an auto and 3500 for a manual if I remember correctly. The people there seem to think that's enough to pass the test at Pranburi!

I've witnessed the test ..... which goes a long way to explain the driving standards seen around town.

500 baht under the counter would be ample to pass the test, anywhere in Thailand!
You guys need to get real.
