Visa waiver extended to 45 days

https://www.thailand-business-news.com/ ... to-45-days

Effective 1 October 2022 to 31 March 2023. I would expect it to be extended beyond that.

Re: Visa options aside from retirement

Afternoon all, as I have mentioned in previous post, heading to HH in January, emailed embassy in sydney asking do I need to obtain a TR visa for my 42 day stay, reply back clear as mud? One line stated now 45 day allowed no visa required? Then stated must do online send passport etc? So can I arrive with no visa at all? If so what do I need to produce on arrival in BK? Costs?. Many thanks

It must be on a different thread, but this has been covered already - I arrived on the 2nd October and was granted a 45 day stay - you just hand over your passport and get the 45 day stamp, nothing else asked for.

Wow great news , won’t need passport pic visa fee $60 etc etc. fantastic. Not sure why the Thai embassy didn’t advise me of this? Probably needed my $$. Thank you both for the info
