Another legit massage shop is Lucky Massage, close to Market Village, the cleanest massage shop I've seen.

About 100m south of MV with a green colour scheme.

Pinkaeow massage on left on main road past Lotus's in Pranburi if it is still there.
Been going for >10 years (missed out last 3) never a disappointment
PS 50 - 100 Bht tip while small is the norm in the traditional (proper) massage establishments.

Will check it out as I'm really close at La Casita.

Had a great foot massage yesterday at Menla in market village basement. Girls name was Chan I think. Quite strong if you like that. Will try an oil massage with her next and report back.

How much is the salary per month for a woman doing massage in US, UK or Germany and Thailand.
Most Worker in Thailand have a very small salary.
I was only talking about reasonableness. A reasonable massage cost in the US would be 1875 baht.

What techniques are used for deep tissue and for sports massage? I’ve only read they are slow and deep. I prefer they dont grind over a tight muscle and instead hold pressure on the muscle until the client is able to release that tightness.

In deep tissue massage held pressure, deep stroking, and stretching are used, no decent therapist grinds over a tight muscle.

There is also Trager work, which is gentle rocking and slow movement until the tension is released.

Sports massage is light stroking, shaking, rocking, and stretching, to wake up the muscles and prepare them for activity.

I don't know if any of those techniques are used in Thailand. Perhaps in Bangkok, but I doubt it in Hua Hin.

Any local shops that do Trager (I experienced it in Chiang Mai)? Also wondering, since many Europeans are here, if any are trained in disciplines from there. Or, even less likely, in Ida Rolf (Rolfing) or Marian Rosen (Rosen Therapy)?

Rosen is from Germany and combines feeling on the diaphragm with one hand for changes in breathing while feeling a tight muscle with the other. Frequently brings up emotions tied to the tightness. If it doesn’t exist here, is it possible for a foreigner to start it here?

You'd have to check with whatever bureau handles those types of licenses.

I can't imagine anyone in Hua Hin would have the training in Trager. It's a long and expensive course.

You'd be lucky if you could find Swedish massage here.

As for Rolfing and Rosen, there's no Thai here who could deal with the emotional aspect of the therapy.

Along with that, you can't buy a Western massage table here. I ordered one from Lazada but they never shipped it.

Don't expect too much of their knowledge. Even in good spas and luxury massage shops, the therapist are trained on a routine massage and don't really have knowledge about the body or the therapy. And for them, swedish massages or western therapies are zero in value.

“Thai Sabi” massage has pics of their credentials on Google Maps so will try there.

I think massage is like many things where some people are artists while most are doing arts and crafts. Sounds fun to try different shops and different practitioners.

You also might try Amazon for massage tables. They ship various places, just verify cost of shipping and duty. They probably source some from China as well. My wife loves receiving massage so bought a nice heated table while in Canada for $200 CAD.

That's an excellent price for a heated table.
Shipping from Amazon + duty makes everything cost about twice as much.

Some questions on legit massage after trying a few.
- Draping while turning over; One held the top sheet for privacy, one held it aside exposing me and the 3rd just removed the sheet and told me to flip over. This made me wonder if I’m a little prudeish and maybe Thai, like Europeans, aren’t concerned about nudity?
- This got me to realize the guidelines are looser here than North America?
