^^^ It'll get there eventually :D

Darren Aronofsky's (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan) The Whale has just hit the shelves. Tipped to win Brendan Fraser a best actor Oscar, this psychological drama won't be for everyone but I'm personally looking forward to it. It will be a slow burn this one I'm guessing.

Being spoilt this morning me. Knock at the Cabin just coming through, 720 finished already. I love an M. Night Shyamalan film me. One of my favourite directors. 'Old' (the beach movie where they all grew old quickly) was his last offering.

Fingers crossed you don't think it's crap after the long wait for it! I think it's a great little horror.

The Oscar is his and it's not even gonna be close. An immense performance.

I like the older action movies from the 60's, 70's and 80's Steve McQueen in Bullitt being one. I just finished "The Organization" with Sidney Poitier and a cast of actors that were soon to be popular. Excellent movie IMHO. I watched on amazon prime but it's from 1971 so should be in the download sites.

Not a fan of the genre? (not actually much horror in the above mentioned film, a few scenes) Then you surely haven't watched Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (2010). Possibly the greatest comedy/horror ever made. It's as gory as it is laugh-out-loud funny.

Even rotten tomatoes scored this one highly.

Watch it and don't tell me you didn't enjoy it... even just a little bit.

Its a slow starter but worth watching through to the end, nice to have a feelgood movie in tough economic times!
Different strokes for different folks!

As in all truth I was enjoying it very much until it got a bit too much Brit flick/feel good/rom com-my at the end

Overall, it's still worth a watch though

7/10
