England Football Stars in Thailand
England Football Stars in Thailand
Joe Cole and a number of other England football players are staying at The Evason near Pranburi. The Beckham family are also staying at The Lagunna in Phucket for a week and then moving onto Samui for a week.
The only links to any of this I can find is this one,

Looks like Joe Cole thinks property in Hua Hin is worth an investment.

Sorry couldn't resist.

This is good as should give other British/European fence sitters some confidence that this place is not a war zone or in total collapse, and still worthy as a holiday destination. As far as I know, it was only Joe Cole and no others, and he only stayed for one night (Tuesday), as he was flying to the States on Wedneday or Thursday to meet up with John Terry, Wayne Rooney and others for the Ricky Hatton fight in Vegas on Saturday night. He was scheduled to appear at the Dubliner pub in Bangkok on Wednesday afternoon to do some sort of charity signing with local kids. I know this because I met him at Black Mountain on Tuesday. He is getting the condo as stated and had a look at the building site. Seems like a nice guy and not at all arrogant as many footballers or other celebs are meant to be.He will be on this Saturday's 'Destination Thailand' programme on UBC Series if anyone is interested, and there will be a piece on him in the Observer's August issue as part of a Premier League season preview. Also this Saturday's Bangkok Post will have an article about his visit to Hua Hin/Thailand.
