Almost every question like this has ended with the recommendation of Mr Don - here’s one thread,

Re: Lenovo Desktop Computer Power Supply
Desktops use standard PSUs and there are hundreds of them on Lazada. Just need to get the size and wattage right for a small form factor so pull the old one out and have a look at it.

Thanks,
took it to "Mr Don "
it wasnt the power supply
he opened the computer, looked at it and decided it was fritzed, no can fix, no parts.
further research at home revealed that the bios battery could be flat, it was...
New battery a good old CR 2032 and bingo it works ...

Re: Lenovo Desktop Computer Power Supply
Well im sure he is more than a competent technician,,,
very amiable, and after being told that the computer was XXXXXX, i asked him how i could transfer, if i could, all the information off the computer
he suggested a "black box " @ 450 Baht . He took the hard disc out of the computer plugged it into the black box and a PC and showed me what to do, which i dutifully did at home.
the black box is of further use so no biggie there.
it was the fact that the computer was NOT XXXXXX as he said, it was the bios battery that was flat, thats all.
i thought he might have picked up on that...

Re: Lenovo Desktop Computer Power Supply
Maybe you should provide feedback to Mr Don - then he’ll know for next time?
Re: Lenovo Desktop Computer Power Supply
I've had CMOS batteries fail in 3 laptops in my time and none refused to boot, just had to set the date and time ifrc. Possibly depends on the make and model of motherboard whether the battery failing will affect booting.
Maybe Mr Don had never seen this before.

I stand corrected, a CMOS battery
im amazed that he has never encountered this problem before giventhe supposed life expectancy of said CMOS batteries.
If i wander up that way again ill pop in to enlighten him of this
