That's an interesting development. Fingers crossed it actually succeeds.

I took six and left two.

In Lotus CA today I was pleasantly surprised to see quite a few new cans of craft ale making their debuts.

Also, my first ever sighting in CA of bottles of Fullers London Pride, ESB and London Porter - all predictably expensive at B225... Cheers!

You can get 4 cans of London Pride for almost the same price in the UK - nice beer though!!

Even more incoming beers in CA - this time in Big C of all places! Nothing out of the ordinary there for a long time...
I happened to look this week and saw quite a few new craft-type beers, including:

- Mardi Craft Kiljoy Bohemian Pilsner 5.2% - hoppy with a touch of grapefruit

- Mardi Craft Vibes Neipa New England IPA 4.9% - more hoppy than Kiljoy and cloudy - delicious!

Both cans cost B109

BTW I did leave some for you to try, Dannie...!

I have recently ben introduced to LEO #8 strong Brew . It was a can 490 size and 5.1 proof
The taste was certainly more beer and I understand that Singha have purchased the Lao popular brewery and in particular have changed the makeup of the Brown beer. They have removed the rice ingredient and replaced it with barley (?) I think.
Anyway it has a much more UK type taste than I have ever experienced with a lager beer,
Cost was 51Bht a can from Big C, can buy 12 in a case,

Well recommended IMO

I have also tried it and it is the best lager beer taste I know - but I do like English draught beer - I strongly recommend a trial and cannot understand why I have not seen any promotion ads!!

It actually came out a couple of years ago but I hadn't seen it in the shops for a while and had forgotten about it but when I was there in May, I discovered it again and yes, it's surprisingly good.

I've never seen Spitfire here. That stuff brings back memories of pubs in Folkestone! Had a Newcastle Brown Ale last night, that was a blast from the past.

I've never seen it here either and it was a favourite beer in the UK. I never cared for NBA though!

This isn't going to help, but I just can't remember but it was a 2 storey restaurant and had a huge cold fridge with loads of english and continental beers in it. Could sit inside or outside. I can see the bloody place but can't remember the name. I am hoping for a eureka moment when it comes back to me.

In Khao Takiab ? There was a place a few years ago like you describe with imported beers.
