The first game of the 3rd round ended in a 0-0 draw between Crystal Palace and Everton, with Everton having Calvert-Lewin controversially sent off after a VAR review (I’m sure the Colonel will have something to say bout that). Not seen the highlights but doesn’t sound like a very inspiring game!!

I’ve since seen the sending off incident and even though C-L went in with his studs showing, there appeared to be very minimal contact - the Palace player doesn’t help the matter by making a meal of it and the end result was a red card - looks very harsh, but that’s VAR for you!!

What happened to the Prediction League? I see there's nothing on SuperBru. I thought, I'd forgotten to make picks, but there doesn't seem to be a league.

I guess they didn't offer one this year?

PHarveys post above mentions that the predictor won’t come in until after round 3, so it should be available for the next round?

From memory, last season's Superbru FA Cup Tournament came in at Round 4. I believe the draw for the 4th Round is on Jan 8th, so presume Superbru will add the competition shortly afterwards. :thumb:

I remember being able to choose Plymouth Argyle as the team I support last season. It is unusual, although not unheard of, for them to make it to Round 4. However, it will be a travesty if they don't make it to Round 4 this season.

You’re memory must be deceiving you BB - Plymouth went out to Grimsby last season in an earlier round - it was the year before that they beat Birmingham to go into the 4th round before losing to Chelsea 2-1

Apparently you played Chelsea away in last season's FA Cup 4th Round...... :thumb:

[EDIT] Sorry - just seen above post...

And the "Gunners" have gone!! Dumped out in the 3rd Round.... Arse 0 - Liverpool 2 :thumb:

Didn't get to see the match, just some highlights - seems Liverpool were far from their best in the 1st half..... But some changes made for the 2nd paid dividends (though very late on).

I wonder when it was the last time Arsenal went out in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup?

Hopefully, the "HHF/Superbru Prediction League" will be up and running in the next week or so.

I too only managed to watch the highlights and Arsenal certainly had enough chances to score before Liverpool did - looked like a very entertaining game!!

Chances galore from both teams - certainly Arsenal more so than Liverpool in the 1st Half. It's a wonder really it was a 0-2 score line.

Hell though, I'm hardly the expert of the sport!! :D
