Best bus operator to get to Sukhumvit?
I have a question also. Which is the best operator from HH to be dropped as near as possible to Sukhumvit? Vipawadee or airport are a mission away.

Not as good as a full size bus (coach) I guess, but better than a van. Maybe.404cameljockey wrote:Thanks. Doesn't look toooo bad.hhinner wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 12:45 pm There's a minibus from Bluport that goes to Ekamai.

There are a bunch of them that go from MV also. But be aware that they often double up as delivery vans with a lot of stops so the journey can take hours.

I use similar buses these days a lot for travelling to football from Ratchaburi. Apart from their length, and no onboard toilet (yuk) you don't really notice the difference to a full sized bus. The buses I use are 19 seaters with a 2/1 seat configuration. If I can be comfortable, anybody should be OK.

It always amuses me when somebody asks to go to Sukhumvit Rd. It runs from Phloen Chit in Bangkok, all the way to Cambodia!404cameljockey wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 11:46 am I have a question also. The ekamai bus has no reserved seating so if it's busy you can sit uncomfortable for 4 hours with a bag on you lap
It's about 5 stops on tube from centre of soi cowboy etc
The airport bus has more space and more expensive
But then about 40 minutes and some changes with a walk to get to central party
Up to your choice

3 stops from Asok in less than 10 minutes. 5 minutes walk after leaving Ekkemai BTS.

Yup agreed. Just say the bit between Nana and Asok.

That was certainly the case with the old mini-buses, but the larger buses these days have luggage capacity. Don't they use it?ahandpatsy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 9:11 pm The ekamai bus has no reserved seating so if it's busy you can sit uncomfortable for 4 hours with a bag on you lap

I'll stick with Sombat and Grab and pay up if I don't want to drive.
Thanks.
