Dragon Boat Races

Post by layman »

Does anyone have any information about the Dragon Boat races at Panburi in early November? There was talk a few months ago of getting a team together like last year, but the thread seemed to lead nowhere. I'd just like to know the date and exact location.
Thanks

I don't know anything about Pranburi this year, but they are being held on November 23rd on Kao Tao reservoir, Hua Hin (also? instead?).

Yes, docta, it does. I remember someone having a cup of tean in his hands instead of the paddle as we were ready to set off for a training session.

Thanks for the date Dawn! Duly noted in the diary.
Khun Bamboo, I'm intrigued by your signature photo. Don't recognise it as being anywhere round here except perhaps Sam Loi Yot. Any chance of seeing an enlarged version? I went to your website to see if it was there, but no luck. Interesting site. I think (is there an English version?).

The Pranburi Dragon Boat Races will be held this year on Thursday, 22 November.

Our big boat will once again be moored halfway down the course with a good view of both the start and finish lines.

We are taking reservations for places on the boat and a substantial lunch will be included.
We will also have a full bar.

Sadly I shall be stuck working in BKK.

However as a participant in last years race, in the crazy farang team - to anyone who CAN attend, I can thoroughly recomend it as an awesome spectacle.

The food & the booze on Cap'n Barry's boat is not bad either :thumb:

You could always make it a field trip with your class and speak English for the day!
