However, I am going further afield to see a friend who is working in Ko Lanta near Krabi in March so I fly back to Bkk at 5pm or 8 pm the evening before.
Is there a reasonably priced hotel near the airport to stay or is it just as easy to get a taxi to town and stay there, say Siam square etc ?
If I get the 8 pm flight then it will be after 9pm when I get to town and will leave around 6am in the morning so all I need is dinner, a few drinks and somewhere to sleep for a few hours.
I stayed at the airport hotel last year but it was about 70 quid so not doing that again!!
