violence on the beach

Post by lomuamart »

There I was, 2 days ago, strolling along the beach from The Sofitel to Monkey Mountain.
Got to Chivason and saw 4 Thai chaps running down to the beach from a small soi at the side and then along the beach.
By the time I got to The Hyatt, these people had caught up with their quarry. A young Thai man, in charge of one of the horses, was being kicked senseless by the others. There were other Thai horsemen around and tourists, but needless to say noone did anything - myself included.
The victim didn't seem too badly hurt and he'd obviously pissed the others off big time.
We all know that Thai on Thai violence can erupt at any time, particularly after a heavy session on the booze, but this is the first time I've seen anything like this in broad daylight, right outside a 5 star hotel. I don't suppose that the tourists there would have come away from the incident with a favourable impression.
Anyone else seen something like this , in similar circumstances?

I've seen a couple of "lady fights" just opposite from where I live. The ladies where hitting and pulling each other's hairs and there kids where screaming around them. Not a sight I cherish in my memories.

Cowboy Mafia. :guns:

Speaking of cowboys, I wish the muslim terrorists would get it together, stop picking on innocents and put a quick hole in :guns: bush's head. not amercan and definitely not a muslim btw but sick of :guns: bush propeganda on fox. Only cable news channel here.
I hope it's alright to say that. Its what most americans over here i've talked to seem to think.

I'm generally apolitical, but it has to be recognised that G Dubya is only the "front-man" for the ruling administration in the USA, as voted into power by democratic elections. By shooting him, it symbolically achieves nothing constructive and would only lead to anarchy and bloodhed. Surely we've had enough of that in recent times ! Make love, not war !!

What G Dubya has to do with strolling on the Hua Hin - Khao Takiab beach leaves me a bit confused. However, it is truely amazing how some topics develop. Personally, when doing this walk, I really like to push aside all thoughts of the world outside HH; so G Dubya just doen't rate on my HH beach radar.

Agree with you, Gaijin.
I started a topic on Thai on Thai violence in daylight in an unusual place and suddenly plots are being hatched to assassinate the President of the good ol USA.
Us mods should have kept any discussion on topic.
So, for those of you with an axe to grind against George Dubya, please do it on another thread.
