Just found out That Avram Grant has been sacked after 2 days of talks with Kenyon.Think they sacked the wrong guy should have been that Judas Kenyon with his runners up medal.
IMHO I feel sorry for the guy only in the job 8 months and pushed United all the way in the Premiership and got them to their first Champions League final.
Thats the problem today with the non football money men coming into the game.It is a results orientated business and they want instant success.
Grant Sacked
Grant Sacked
Glory! Glory! Man Utd.
I,too, feel sorry for Grant although it is tempered a little by the rumour he is due to get a 5m$ pay off.
His problem was he inherited Jose Mourinho's team of 3 years that only seems capable of playing dour boring football to grind out results.
Whoever takes over will probably have to have a bit of a clearout.
Maybe Roberto Mancini of Inter Milan as the new Chelsea boss ??

As a Chelsea fan I have some sympathies but am not surprised.
I think the team/Clarke carried us through a lot. Tactically, Grant seemed a little inept (think Essian at full back and Utd's goal, the final against Spurs and Anelka's role) and his new coach seemed more intent on confronation than training. I don't think the players have been too happy despite the united front ('scuse pun)
But if Grant and his coach go to Man City, I hope we don't get the Swede in return. It appears Clarke could be heading off for his own managerial role as well - I wish him well, a true Chelsea stalwart with 20 years at the club.
Quite a challenge for the new manager - better 2nd in the league, 2nd in the Champions League and runners up in at least one cup!
Bring back the special one!

I too have a high regard for Clarke and to me he seemed to be pushed further back in the pecking order at Chelsea.Quiet unassuming sort of guy who is Chelsea through and through but what does loyalty count for these days?Bugger all it seems.
Think it,s time that he cut his teeth with a Managers job somewhere just as you do.
The odds on the "special one" returning have shortened to 8-1 but cannot see it happening,I think we may be suprised on who gets the job.
