A brilliant series of stand-alone dark humour/drama. If any of you can remember 'Tales of the Unexpected' and loved it, then you'll really like this. I think that they've just released series 5, but we're just working our way through series 2. Each episode is 30 minutes, so it's a nice filler.
Written by (and starring) Reece Sheersmith and Steve Pemberton. Watch out - you'll get hooked.

Had never heard of it, but certainly loved "Tales of the Unexpected" - see it's on iPlayer, so will give it a looksee!! :D

Happy New Year to you too/two!!

You might also like Charlie Brookers series "Black Mirror" Edit...A bit hit and miss in some episodes but overall a massive hit for me.

Thoroughly enjoyed the episodes of Black Mirror - although the first few (some years back now) scared the living daylights..... a little strange to say the least!! I've not looked for a while now, but will do again.

About halfway through The Serpent at the moment, tis rather good. Enjoyed Black Mirror, though some episodes are rather dark as the title suggests, so will have a look at Inside No.9, thanks.

I liked the one where he caught his Mrs cheating on him using some hi tech memory implant with video playback

Hayley Atwell was excellent in another...

Agree some of these are very good

I nearly gave up on The Serpent after a very dull episode 2.

So glad I carried on as the dramatic tension really ramps up in 3 & 4

Glad you posted that - I had started on the Serpent, but didn't get into it on episode 2... it was being put on the "Back Burner". May well take another look.

I binge watched it a couple of days ago. A little confused with the constant toing and froing date wise, but really enjoyed it overall. I was constantly watching for the Hua Hin bits, but missed them.

I'm wondering if the hotel in Bangkok where they live (and have the pool parties etc) is actually in Hua Hin??

Anyone recognise?

I wondered about that too, but to be honest, that could have been anywhere.

Likewise, didn't recognize anything from HH, but am enjoying the series for the Thailand nostalgia though it was a little before my time.

Yes, brings a whole new meaning to “chain smoking”!!

But like everybody else, I am my Thai wife thoroughly enjoyed the series despite all the jumping about with dates.

I think you will find that Episodes 1 and 6 from Season 3 (2016) are fast becoming reality

I reckon that the beach hotel in episode 2 was in Hua Hin, I thought that it was Kaew Takieb in the background.
