Re: Airport VIP Bus to and from Hua Hin
Lady luck with me yesterday. Flight arrived 15-mins early and plenty time to get down to the bus desk. Think I was 30-mins early at the desk.
Zero queues at the the Thai pass checkpoint or immigration (same dour faces). In fact there was no people at all at immigration which was strange because I was sitting at the back of the plane. Most passengers from my flight must have been in transit or collecting a visa on arrival (I think this desk creates a lot of confusion for passengers that don't need it).
Close to four hours in the bus though but slept from getting on route 4 (bloody long weekend Bangkers).

Direct bus service to Suvarnabhumi
Hi,
I need to be at BKK before 10am tomorrow, 15th June 2022. I normally use the direct service from the bus station near Hua Hin Airport. However, their current limited service doesn't have an early option.
Does anyone know if there are any other direct minivan services from Hua Hin DIRECT to BKK?

Lacking any replies so far, I would say it doesn't look promising except for a private car. You could take the 1700 hour bus getting there about 2200 and getting a room in a nearby hotel for the night. That option may actually be cheaper than a taxi?

The airport bus timetable (when the bus left from the old bus station between bluport and market village) said 4 hours to get from HH to the airport.
The bus now leaves from next to HH airport (20+ minutes closer to BKk), but the timetable now says 5 hours.
Does anyone have any recent experience of the service and how long it takes ? 5 hours would make me nervous for my flight . The bus I would catch is the 17:00
Thanks.

You can never predict the traffic going to BKK - I’d be inclined to take the 14.00 bus to be on the safe side!!fft100 wrote:The airport bus timetable (when the bus left from the old bus station between bluport and market village) said 4 hours to get from HH to the airport.

And you have to factor in the ongoing roadworks for the new tollway. But even so, they are playing very safe.

My daughter took the 10 am from Swampy on Wednesday last week. She arrived in HH 13:15 so 3 and a quarter hours. I'd guess it's similar on the journey to Swampy.
They state 5 hours to cover themselves and to allow you a 'safe' window. As DB says, it's almost impossible to predict the delays especially with all the roadworks going on along Rama II.

It took me almost exactly four hours last week for the 14:00 bus.fft100 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 11:25 pm The airport bus timetable (when the bus left from the old bus station between bluport and market village) said 4 hours to get from HH to the airport.

Re: Airport VIP Bus to and from Hua Hin
Just over 3-hours for myself on Sunday (10:00 dep. BKK).
Quickest yet. Just depends on traffic.

Thanks for those updates.
I was worried they had put in an unannounced stop or 2 on the way up - like some minibuses used to do 10 years ago and you suddenly found yourself completely off the main road for a 15 minute break while he popped into a shop or had to get something done.

Did the journey at the weekend, took the 09.30 bus, 6 people on it, took 3.5 hours.
