Rapidly coming to conclusion that they cannot predict the weather here
Yesterday afternoon was predicted no rain by one site I've followed for years and 'had' been the most accurate to that point
and of course it absolutely lashed it down!

so, what's the best weather site you use for here?

I would try the below. There is a lot you can do with the settings depending upon what and where you want to see. The below link is set to Hua Hin, I think.

Never thought that I'd complain about rain, but it's every day now, and heavy!
Couldn't agree more. My lawn has become a jungle, 555!
I’ve been trying to cut mine for three days - it’s either too hot and sunny or begin as it gets a bit cloudy and two minutes later, the heavens open!!

Obviously it’s my lucky day as not only did I manage to renew my outdated visa, I’ve also managed to cut my grass without the rain intervening. For good measure, I’ve also bought a couple of lottery ticketsImage

Great recovery. Fortunately, mine has never got that bad. Although I'm sure my water bill is bigger than yours, using 4 sprinklers almost on a daily basis until the last few days.

I used to water the grass religiously until two years ago and then we let it slip last year, but lo and behold once the rains started the grass recovered. Without investing in sprinklers, it was a labour intensive and quite expensive operation so that’s my excuse!!

We had lightening strike our house a couple of months ago. Destroyed a small section of the lower roof.
Quite scary when it's so close isn't it?

I’ve certainly been closer to lightning here than anywhere else I’ve been. It’s <deleted> frightening. A quick search on google:

This one comes as more than just a shock: Thailand has the second highest rate of people being struck by lightning in the world, second only to Mexico. According to the National Lightning Safety Institute, 171 people have died after being struck by lightning in Thailand.

Which means in Thailand you have more chance of dying of a lightning strike than.... no, better not go there.
