Yeap if you go to VM the HH minivan (Bht 200) leaves from the side road with Chesters grill (can also get taxi to Suvanabhum from there). Look for the beach umbrellas and fold up card tables and dare i say it mini vans parked around the place. They will leave earlier if full.
Also if you want to go to Pranburi the mini van (similar site set up with beach umbrellas) place is next to the little tent market selling the usual junk right on the curve of VM. They are off set 50 metres back and cost is 190 Bht.
Hang on and allow for 2.5 to 3 hrs with maybe the occasional stop - usually Petchaburi.

For whatever reason the mini-bus has moved again in Bangkok and it now goes from the Century Cine Plaza which is about a 100 meters down the road from the corner it used to go from and on the other side of the road.
It's a large blue building and they've set up a ticket desk down the stairs from the door on the first corner of the building.

Is that the place in the centre of the photo you're talking about Steve ???

Thats going to be even easier to get into the BTS station - it has a link to the Cinema.

Also, a friend who came recently using the vans said they run from 6 a.m to 6 p.m., so if you arrive later than that and want a van, it's a night in Bangkok. :thumb:
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Well it is all change again with the minibus to Bangkok.
the ticket desk at the Bangkok end has moved from the mall basement and is back to by the side of the mall where the buses are located.
More importantly the price has gone back to 180 baht each way.

According the a recent poster the Hua Hin minibuses at Victory Monument are now 'next to the mall where the buses are located'.

There are four corners at the Victory Monument roundabout: NW, NE, SW and SE. The last time I took a minibus to Hua Hin - some few years ago - they left from the a side road behind the SW corner, adjacent to Rajwithi Hospital.

Are they now leaving from this point again?

No. I suppose it's from the NE now.
Imagine exiting Victory Monument skytrain, through the ticket turnstiles in the direction of VM. Take the first exit on your right immediately afterwards - I think it's exit 4. Don't go up to VM. Walk down the steps to street level and then go back on yourself about 150 m and you'll be at Century cinema. The ticket offices are actually inside there now and the vans leave from there. Price 180THB.

I posted that "the ticket desk" had moved not the buses.
For several months tickets had to be bought in the basement of the shopping mall. The desks have now moved back upstairs outside opposite the buses.
Prices have gone back to 180 baht.

BTS exit is I believe number 2.
