Thee fanciest theeself as a Natural Philosopher?
Well, thee shall showest me. (my own score was so low, I won't mention it)

I always wanted to build a real one......they look like a barrel of laughs
it could be a sort of variant on the village ducking stool in the duck pond.
we could use it to fire the Grammy Squad out into the bay off the end of the breakwater.....sort of a variant on dwarf throwing......load up the counterweight with dodgy dvds and cds.....could also be used to solve problems with dodgy developers, self appointed arbitration experts, useless lawyers, potential Russian "investors"......
you could happily use a couple of Mrs S's so called employees to test it

567 (metres? feet?)
I was visualising flinging the witch from Immigration along with one of her pals, with Mr.VS as a counterweight. I think I got the calculations wrong, but at least they were flung a few metres/feet/yards, I have no idea - but it was fun. I think I'll try again with me sitting on Mr.VS's lap - just to add a bit of counterweight.

During the wars with Scotland in the 13th century, Edward 1st laid siege to Stirling castle. He decided to build what is thought to have been the worlds largest trebuchet to bring down the walls.
This monster took a team of carpenters three months to build, and before it was completed the Scots, fearful of the results, tried to surrender.
Edward, being a bit of a bastard, would have none of this and said "You don't deserve any grace, but must surrender to my will," herded them back within the walls and proceeded to lob stones at them anyway!
