What Happened to the BBC on Cable?

Post by hhfarang »

Where did the BBC go on local cable. I still get it on TrueVisions, but I have that in one room and cable all over the house. I usually watch either BBC or that hated American news channel while I'm working out in the home gym and for the last several days BBC (channel 50) is just static.

Did the local cable operator drop it as an included channel in the line up?
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I'm afraid membership in my gym would be too expensive for most Hua Hin residents... It's quite exclusive with state of the art exercise equipment (some imported from the U.S.), TV (sorry, cable only), DVD player, music, expansive bathroom with large glassed in shower, air conditioning, and an entire glass wall with an exceptional view of Takiab and the gulf of Thailand! :D

And that's without taking into account the amiable proprietor.
Absolutely, and also the fact that there is a full bar downstairs to undo all the good work that was done while in the gym! :D

I guess the two news agencies are sharing the same channel on cable here. A couple of days ago I was watching BBC (as usual, back on channel 50), but right now the French news channel (broadcast in English) is on that channel. :?

BBC NEWS now shares the channel with France 24 (English). France 24 in the daytime, BBC NEWS evening and night. True to Thai tradition this change was made without prior notice. France 24 seems to have much more European-oriented news than BBC World News.
