I've done a quick search but cannot find the menaing of the local term "starfish". What does it mean to call someone a starfish?

I don't know, but just to clarify for others, do you mean a word in Thai that translates to 'starfish' or do you mean someone speaking in English calling someone a starfish? :?

Sorry. I have read forums where farangs refer to other people as "starfish" not sure if they are Thai or farang. It appears that it may be derogatory.

I have had a further look at the phrase and think it may refer to the way a female acts.

And the general lack of activity see also sack of spuds .To starfish someone in a boxing match is to leave them in the same position out cold .For other meanings google rogers profanisaurus .My all time favourite being zuffling .Quite a few private girls schools around my home town . :wink:

The term starfish should not be confused with the term chocolate starfish... :mrgreen:

Usually the too young bar girls just lay there and act like a starfish , but later on when moor experienced act like an octopus. :)
