Medical Advice

Post by ipods »

Looking forward to our move to Hua Hin at the end of the month.

We understand general doctors etc quite cheap and meds pretty readily available over the counter. We are just thinking about accidents or something more serious requiring hospital admissions or repatriation back to the UK.

Anyone give any advice of a good company which may provide just accidental or more serious medical type insurance.
Thanks 8)

Well if I understand you correctly accidental requires Out Patient treatment while serious requires In Patient treatment. You can have either or both.

Sounds like you want an all inclusive package that includes repatriation?

There are plenty of providers who provide quotes online, just google "expatriate health insurance". Beware of any plan that does not ask for details of any pre-existing or chronic conditions otherwise you may end up finding you are not covered when you most need it.

Be also aware of the small print in any local plan.

There's an ongoing topic here that you may like to read.
