Teddy Pendergrass - RIP

Post by JD »

Teddy Pendergrass - another Soul Music Great has left us.

As a young single man the music of Teddy Pendergrass was an essential part of my music collection.

After reading of his passing this morning I revisited his music via Youtube.

What struck me most was the memories of past partners and loves that came back to mind with Teddy Pendergrass serenading in the background. It was nice to have them back in my thoughts again and judging by some of the comments on youtube, I’m not the only one who has been having the same recollections today.

RIP Teddy, I’m sure many people who were touched by your music will be revisiting their youth this evening and experience a soulful serenade with their present love.

What a legacy.

Yes, a sad loss. A man from my original home town. His music was never quite the same after he became paralyzed but great all the same. Pete :(
