I was logged out and it's been so long I forgot my password. I received a new one by following the links but when I go to change the new, cumbersome (but safe!!) password it says it is not correct. Tried it 3 times all the same

How did you post this then?

Password issues are not related to the server migration. Clicking the 'reset password' link will give you the ability to create a new one providing you have access to the email account you used to register.

I hit the link "forgot password" and was sent a new one. It let me in OK but I wanted to change it to something I would, hopefully, remember so went to change password, that's where I ran across the problem. But no worries

Is this a new addition mods? Tried it. Assumed it was a 'delete post' button. Said, "You can't delete this post". This was in covid news, I think.

Nothing has been altered with the software. Post deleting is not available to memebers and editing can only be done for a couple of minutes after the post is made.

The forum and server are experiencing some technical issues so there may be some outages and in the extreme, we may have to shut it down.

It has been a long time coming but the forum has had zero revenue for the past 6-7 years so there is zero budget for things like servers, security, and software maintenance.

^And me as well, spending large amounts of time away from home working it's good to be able to stay connected.

Thank you. We're in the process of scheduling a security and software update, once this has been completed we will revive the funding campaign to cover the costs and keep the forum alive for a bit longer.

We have scheduled a forum software update for Monday, Dec. 11, US time so will be overnight in Thailand. Please do not access the board during this time. We hope all will be functional by Tuesday morning, but there may be technical issues.

Just a quick reminder to all that the forum software will be updated on Monday night (Thailand time) so it will be temporarily disabled for the process. We hope to be running on a new platform Tuesday morning.

There will be some differences so please post here if you have any questions or refer to the software details page for more info on what we're getting: https://www.phpbb.com/about/launch/

We will open the private subforum and share details for donations following a successful upgrade.

The forum upgrade was a success, we are now running version 3.3.11.

There will be some minor differences and we have lost the sidebar which was not compatible, however, depending on how the donation drive goes, we may be able to add additional functionality.

We will be enabling access to the forum funding section shortly for those that have responded here.
