It's a great word, but it was actually invented by Lewis Carroll.

"If you're moving along heavily or clumsily, you may be said to be galumphing. A blend of gallop and triumphant, Carroll used it in Through the Looking-Glass to describe the Jabberwock slayer: “He left it dead, and with its head / He went galumphing back.”

Joking apart, seriously tasty - not so popular in the UK. Used to collect them from the beach in South Wales - cracking with some garlic butter!!

I was debating whether to put this in the Photography thread, but figured much better suited here to be honest.

Some great moments captured and perhaps some worthy entries for the Caption Competition!! :D

Bears, Birds and Kangaroos: Comedy Wildlife Photo Awards

"The finalists in this year's Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards have been announced. Here is a selection of those that were whittled down from thousands of entries submitted from professional and amateur photographers from around the world, along with comment from the photographers. The winners will be announced on 23 November."
