Fan repair-shops in HH..??
Help..I have 2 oscillating ceiling fans, both of them now do not ossillilate..?
The Fan repair-man just down from us says we have to buy new..
(these fans are less than 1 month old).
I have taken the cover off the unit and there is a lecky-component there to power the oscillating movement, this unit I'm sure (this being thailand where everything can be repaired-right?) can be simply replaced.
But WHERE?? Do any of you good folk know of a likely shop that actually
repairs/rebuilds these fans..?? Thank you. U.S.

There is a guy along the Railway Road, I think it is at the top of soi 80, who repairs fans. If the fans are less than a month old can you not just take them back to where you purchased them? I know this is Thailand and guarantees but even so!

Anyone know if this shop is still there and is it at the top of Soi 80?

OK, thanks guys, I will pay them a visit, it's not an electrical problem, just a bit of plastic that's sheared off so hopefully they will have spares from unrepairable ones.

Sorted, I was on railway road yesterday so popped in, if I hadn't known it was there and been looking for it I would have sailed right past. Surprisingly to me they stocked the part new, 120 baht, saved 1,800 + on a new fan. Thanks again.

My stand-up Hatari fan blew a resistor on the control board, so I went to the fan man listed above but he doesn't carry these boards. The Hatari web site has it for sale as a part but says it will take 5 days to arrive.
On a whim, I stopped in at my favourite Lek Electronics next to All In Hua Hin near the night market. I showed her the board and she turned around and picked an identical one from her shelf. Only cost 10 baht more than the Hatari web site + shipping.

Re: Fan repair-shops in HH..??
A quick followup to my post - the board from Lek and the Hatari web site is a new version of the board from my 5 year-old fan. The old board had solder points for the wiring, the new one has two connectors. I was able to make it work but I have a wall full of electronics. Others may just have to buy a new fan.mwbrown wrote: ↑Wed Dec 26, 2018 11:52 am My stand-up Hatari fan blew a resistor on the control board, so I went to the fan man listed above but he doesn't carry these boards. I’ve got a stand up Hatari, about 5 years old. I’ve noticed there isn’t much difference in speeds anymore when switching between 1, 2 or 3. I wonder if a new board would fix that problem ?
Re: Fan repair-shops in HH..??
Yes, the speed control circuit for 2 of the buttons has probably failed.
