Print Shop?

Post by Kumiankka »

I'm one of those poor souls who will do some work even during my vacation. We are coming soon to HH for 4 weeks and I will need some ocassional printing done. So can any1 guide me to a fast and cheap print shop. Someplace whereto I can just take USB-memstick with few PDF-files, and get them on paper.

I always use a little place just north of soi 51. It's grid ref D/E7. Just go up Petchkasem from Soi 51, on the same side of the road, about 200-250m and it's there.
I've done loads of copying there before and they're good and cheap. Can do from memory stick.
Other than that, I'm sure there are plenty of paces in the centre of town - Kodak shops etc.

If you're just looking to print some .pdf files from a USB onto plain A4, then most internet cafes will do this for you.

depending on which hotel you are staying in they might be willing for you to use their printer often, as I have found, for no charge.

Thanks folks. I guess I'll survive. As I told, my needs are small an ocassional. Just want to print some reports and stuff that I get as email on. It's more relaxed to read them, on poolside of the villa we have hired, with nice bottle of Tiger, than scrolling them on laptop display. Feels less like working.

If they can't, there's one just before the station on the railway road from Soi 88 that advertises just that.

Converting Negatives

Sure it's been posted before but can't find it.

I've dug up some old negatives and would like them transferred on to my computer. Anybody know where they can be done? Tried the Kodak shop on Petcha opposite soi 80 but got the 'smile/shake head' response

This can be done quite successfully by anyone who has a flatbed scanner with a backlight built in.
