Dad had the Bratwurst yesterday... bloody good:).
There was a place called dine for 99 in soi Diana Pattaya 3 or 4 years ago, which was a great idea.. in teh space of 4 months the food went from pretty good to terrible, I think on a big scale with lots of staff and expensive location its difficult to control costs.
Best of luck to 99Cafe, keep doing what your doing and you will have a ver loyal base of customers
Best of luck to these guy's but I honestly don't know how they are making anything on 99 bht and 79 bht.
Visited today for the first time. Had the fish and chips (not french fries, which were also available, but chips - this Yank knows there's a difference). The fish was light and flaky. The chef knew what to do with it - lightly battered with spot on cooking time and temperature. The chips were damn good, cooked by someone who clearly knows how long to leave spud parts in a fry basket. Never have liked peas so it's a victory for the cook that I ate half of them.
Had F and C today, absolutely fine . The owner told me when I ordered that she couldnt get the same peas as before and didnt like the current ones, told her it didnt matter and enjoyed lunch. She is such a happy/helpful, bubbly girl who just seems to be really happy cooking! Top marks go to them... agree they can be making much but if they are happy then so are we.
I do understand Levs point of view and I guess most forums suffer the same way.
garden peas come as standard, my preference, however minted mushy peas are available I think at 20bt extra
Tinned mushies then. Not real mushies

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.
This mushy peas stuff is such a Brit thing, I have eaten them in Thai and in the UK but it must be a genetic thing as I cant get excited about them. Its not that I'm not open to Brit food, I do like black pudding, Yorkshire pudding and trifle but mushy peas, they seem so bland..

Same, I can take em or leave em. They're alright but I probably prefer normal peas with fish.
They are a different variety of pea (marrowfat) that are usually stored dry and have to be soaked overnight in salted water (at least that's what my mum used to do) and then cooked in water with a little sugar and served with a knob of butter in order to get them really mushy. The result is like a very delicately flavoured and exceptionally lumpy pea soup.
Garden peas, as the 'regular' frozen variety tend to be, mashed-up or otherwise are not like a marrowfat pea and altogether more waxy in texture.

You've obviously only eaten fakes. Real homemade mushies are to die for - delicious
