Jacuzzi hot tub

Post by huahin4ever »

I'm thinking about getting a Jacuzzi hot tub. I was considering building a pool, but I'm now pretty sure I will not use the pool enough to justify using the money for building one. I'm more of the guy being submerged in a pool/hot tub with cold beer in my hand and not the swimmer typeImageImage

So can any members here point me in the right direction to a supplier of such hot tubs? Preferably in Hua Hin, but I guess it shouldn't be any problem getting one delivered from elsewhere in Thailand too?

To get an idea for what I'm looking for, I've attached a link.

Hi huahin4ever

Try to the south of Hua Hin town after the flyover to the land office. Just about 100 meters on the left from the land office, there is a well-known pool shop. I used to see they have a Jacuzzi tub in their showroom, but it was some years ago.

May be this can help.

Cheers!!

You will probably not want to get one like you have pictured. They have built in heaters. In Hua Hin you will not want a heater IMHO. The water will be hot enough as it is. The cost of equipment and electricity to heat the Hot Tub is high so think carefully about this. A Pool Builder can construct a Jacuzzi that will give you the circulation, etc. a lot cheaper. Maybe this will save you some funds.
Happy Jacuzzi!

Well, I am hoping there are suppliers in Thailand which make something similar with only the Jacuzzi part and not heaters. In case it has heaters I think it could be switched off, since I agree there is no need for heating here.

I've checked with the large pool company after the flyover, and they do not supply Jacuzzis similar to the above. Same goes for the pool company close to Provincial Electrical Authority (PEA).

so far no luck, so keep the suggestions coming to where I could get something like this.

I know the Pool Companies do not have the portable jacuzzis, but they can build a permanent structure jacuzzi cheaper I think. A lot of Villas have a pool and a separate jacuzzi so I know they make these.
Good Luck!

Which ever option you take OP get a heater. Don't have to use it but you will in cool season. They are widely available to order from the pool companies. A custom build is a little cheaper but make sure you get an extra blower or you will be sitting in a bowl of semi flat soda water and you cannot move it later. The venturi effect of a standard pump system just does not cut it if attached to a main pool.

You could try this, or the bed of a pickup may be better suited here...

"World's fastest hot tub turns an old Caddy into a Carpool DeVille"
Caddy.jpg
""Land yacht" has always been an automotive insult reserved for the full-size American luxury cars of the '60s and '70s that assumed size was synonymous with luxury. A 1974 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 was a full two feet longer than the biggest SUV Cadillac will sell you today, which is why they mostly served as limousines and hearses. Today such dimensions seem absurd — unless you're a group of young engineers dreaming of turning one into a world-record setting hot-tub time machine.

Of course this kind of insanity began in Canada, where McMasters University engineering students Phil Weicker and Duncan Forster first (drunkenly) took an abandoned '82 Chevy Malibu and combined the two great pleasures of driving and hot tubbing. That car survived long enough, and won enough acclaim around Canadian auto circles, to merit an invite from the Southern California Timing Association to run at Bonneville Salt Flats — something the duo and friends never could accomplish.

But a dream this powerful never truly dies. In 2008, the duo acquired a crusher-bound '69 Coupe DeVille, and began a six-year odyssey of restoring the car, transforming it into a working hot tub and building it to specs suitable for land-speed racing. Yes, the engine warms the water. Yes, they can fit a rollcage in there. Yes, there are hand controls because you can't work pedals underwater.""

I went for the 3050 model (page 4 on their webpage). Can seat up to 7 persons. Size: 305 x 220 x 90.

Total price including Balboa electronics, extra led lights inside and on the outside skirting, additional UV filtration, Bluetooth sound system and stainless nozzles, approx. 290k delivered to my home here in Hua Hin.

I'll post some pictures when it's received and commissioned, 5-9 weeks from now.
