So pathetic that it's quite possible it wasn't intended to be a plug at all. Some people can be far too quick to throw accusations like this around. And why is a 'phoney plug' needed? All he had to say was, "Guess what, Kim's Kitchen is open again and the food's better than ever!!".
This is the way

What's visible to anyone who takes the trouble to look by clicking on a posters name, this particular OP has made 42 of his 79 posts in Feeding Time. He enjoys talking about Hua Hin restaurants. There was no plug as Kim's has been talked about, praised and criticized on many threads over the years. Trip Advisor has around 100 reviews of the establishment, both good and bad. What he didn't find first was the original Kim's Kitchen thread which has some of the answers and is now combined with his new thread. He's done nothing to warrant some of the responses he's received.

Once upon a time this was a friendly helpful forum that was always enjoyable reading and particularly informative ,for those of us who do not live here. Sadly there now seems to be a small minority of posters who take pleasure in posting sarcastic, demeaning and some times down right nasty replies. For members who oppose this attitude and those that post sensible replies please carry on. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Just for the record my original post WAS NOT A PLUG. I have spent many happy hours in Kim’s over the years enjoying the food and chatting to Chris and his wife (Usual suspect?), who were always good company and I was very disappointed went we walkied past and the place was shut and covered in dust. YES it was obviously ‘open’ and full when we sped past on a baht bus and the place was full. Private party? Grand opening party? New owners?
Maybe I should have made my post clearer and asked “has it re opened to the general public”?
To posters who have supported sensible replies, again many thanks.

Considering that I have no idea where Kim's kitchen is - and I doubt I am the only one - it's irrelevant to me whether it has re-opened or not!

As this is a reply to the original post, which is what this thread is about, this answer succonctly illistrates what PeteC and Bone tried to point out in their two posts above. What a shame to have so many people with hundreds or thpousands of posts but have said nothing

Exactly. it's posting in the age of Trump. I really think that the attitude of his tweets has affected people world-wide.

If someone asks a question, unless it's some form of humor, is it usually because they want an answer and there's no reason to answer sarcastically or call them names or attempt to insult them.

Reading the original post made me curious about Kim's restaurant and wanting to know where it's located. Thank you to the serious posters.
