Moura's value just went up 30-40 million.

Phenomenal! A feat never achieved by another country's domestic football teams. The best the Spanish could offer took a hammering from our best. The Germans, too. The French elite got taken out early by a team finishing 6th this year. The Italian league barely got a sniff. One lone Dutch team came the closest to victory but...

A great year for English football teams. A great year for England's internationals. Off the back of a semi-final showing at the World Cup (and a final in the Nation's league coming up) there's a possibility of 8-10 English players taking part in the finals of Europe's top competitions.

A year to remember. We are witnessing the beginning of something very special for English football.

A quick thought: I appreciate all this, I've been following English football since 1970-71 season but what will happen after Brexit? There aren't that many top U.K. players in these team, are there?

Any Europeans will need a working visa just the same as the many players outside the EU (South Americans and Africans, for example - plenty of both) currently need. Changes nothing.

There aren't that many top U.K. players in these team, are there?

Obviously not as much as we'd like, but still creeping up to around 25%.

Good luck to both teams tonight. It should be a cracker! Spurs are the definite underdogs (not surprising as the team cost quarter of a £billion less to assemble) but... it's a cup game - anything can happen!

Liverpool truly deserve a trophy this year. Spurs do to though with their fighting spirit in the Champion's league.

Well.... the world was watching last night. Watching the best that English football can produce. Two attacking teams filled with talent. Liverpool, arguably the best in the world. Spurs - a team that's fought each game to the dying seconds. And... what did the world get?

The. Worst. Champions. League. Game (not only final). Ever!

It is not surprising that a petition has started wanting the game to be replayed with Barca vs Ajax. Absolute shit show from both teams. Fans traveled far and wide to witness this game. I myself made the journey to Tottenham to be a part of the night. But the two teams let the people down badly!

Neither team deserved to lift that trophy last night. Piss poor performance and an embarrassment to the Premier League. Other countries must have looked at that and thought, 'Nah, you're ok mate. I'll stick with La Liga'.
