I have always used SKYPE to call my bank in Australia however or some reason I cannot get SKYPE to work.
I have heard there is a cheap way to call Oz by using a different calling code, is this correct if so does anyone know the code?

Depending on what network your using there are cheaper prefixes available for calling OZ. I was using AIS for my mobile with the 00500 AIS service. It was about 7 baht per minute standard rate and 6 Baht per minute economy. See rates as per the link below. The quality of the service was marginally below the that of direct dial.

Currently I am spending quite a lot of time on the phone between here and OZ. I am presently using Viber out which does require an internet connection on my end. It is seamless and can dial direct to any landline or mobile in OZ. Quality is excellent (We have fibre at home) rates are about 3.27 baht/min to mobiles and .69 baht/min to landlines. I generally use single recharge rather than monthly plan.
