Place for a really good burger

Post by StevePIraq »

We all know Burger King and McDonalds sell some sort of burger but can anyone recommend a place for a really good high quality burger and fries, maybe differing spices and herbs.

I used to frequent a place overseas that did curry flavoured, Tex Mex, Cajun and all kinds of other options.

Beef, pork, chicken, fish or even veggie burgers.

I rarely eat them, but asked my son. He recommends Burger 31 and Burgers & More. For a basic nice' burger, he says Buffalo Bills.

B&M is that the place in MV? if so I don't find them appealing or special. I don't eat them often but today really fancied a special one and didn't know where to go.

Burgers & More is across the road from The Circle (previously Permsup). The Circle features on the Soi 94 map.

On Soi 80, Bon Appetite restaurant makes different burgers, their special being The Mr. Bon Burger. It's 2 thick beef patties with 2 slices of Cheddar, salad & sauce on the bottom and sauteed onions on top. Comes with fries; a lotta food & pretty darn good. Last time I ordered one it cost 180 baht.

If you feel like almost making your own, Bluport has frozen Lamburghers already seasoned. I bought a box today but haven't tried them yet. I suspect that finding a great burgher here is like finding a great pizza, although the one I had today, Jerk Chicken Pizza with thin crust at Wine connection was tasty. Sorry for the off topic insert.

If you ever want a good burger that tastes like a burger, try Engine House, It's opposite Burger King at MV. Also Passport Cafe. Google for location. It's west of the canal, slightly farther north than Queens Park 19 Rai.

I see Engine House burger is mentioned. I have tried that one and am far from impressed. At the most I will give it a 6 out of 10. I really liked Burger 31 for a while, but after being served raw burgers a couple of times, I've stopped going there. West 94 had an awsome burger but unfortunately out of business now. I will need to try Passport burger, but am not quite sure where that is. I believe it is out of town somewhere?

is this the one you mean? I haven't been yet, but have heard very good things about it. It's near Tropical Hill (website will stick a pin on google maps for you)

Have you tried Sizzler. They sell burgers but I have never tried them ans assume they are nothing out of the ordinary. They also sell a ground Australian beef (burger). This is served without a bun and with onion rings and potatoes of choice. It is spiced with Japanese spices and is delicious. It costs about 250 but is very good quality meat. You can add a soup, salad and desert buffet for about 130 Baht. All in all a very good price for a meal of this quality.
