It's just one month before the great man with his white beard sets off on his annual world tour, making loads of people happy on his way. This evening, Mrs BB & I took a wander around Hua Hin's main tributes to him at both Bluport and Market Village. As usual, I took a few snaps on the way around:
Bluport
Market Village
So, which one is best? Obviously, the following is my opinion - I am not an expert on Christmas decorations.
In-store decoration, Bluport definitely has it, along with the central reservation decoration, but for sheer visitor participation, Market Village wins hands down. The new bridge is fantastic with it's fairy lights and baubles. The Village Green is spacious, and has space to browse, with plenty of photo opportunities. Finally, there's the Chang party with live music. Bluport, however, still has plenty of space to the left of their display, so may have some late additions to take this year's honours.
A great effort by both shopping malls.

New bridge? At Market Village?
Re: Hua Hin Christmas Lights 2018
Ah! Found some pics. That's great news (although I will miss the excitement of crossing the Petchkasem Road!)
Re: Hua Hin Christmas Lights 2018
Yeh it's been there for some time now. I think they started building it a year or more ago.
Re: Hua Hin Christmas Lights 2018
I was there in January and I don't remember any sign of it then
Re: Hua Hin Christmas Lights 2018
Did Market Village get a celebrity to turn the lights on? Basil Brush or Sue Pollard would be good

As I recall, it opened temporarily in April for Songkran but then closed again for some final touches to be added (including the lift) - I don't think it was finally, fully opened until May or so.
