'Twas a sarcastic comment. We got completely jolly rodgered. Absolute shambles 2nd half. Credit to Bayern though. Clinical just doesn't quite do them justice.

And good to see you're still not obsessed with Kane...

Anyway, isn't the Rugby World Cup going well?

JJBones didn't get the spoon this round, it's left over from the last round. Quirk in Superbru programming that old spoon holder shows up with the new holder many times. Ignore it.

Harry Kane becomes the faster player, in the history of the Champion's league, to reach 20 goals.

Manchester City Banned From Champions League for Two Seasons

Ban starts next season and City also fined €30m (£25m)
Club say they will appeal to CAS at ‘earliest opportunity’

"Manchester City have been banned from the Champions League for the next two seasons by Uefa and fined €30m (£25m) after they were found to have seriously misled European football’s governing body and broken financial fair play rules.
The severity of the ban from both of Uefa’s elite club competitions and the scale of the fine reflect how seriously Uefa’s FFP compliance bodies consider the club to have breached the rules and code of conduct."

Watching the news this morning, the feeling was their appeal would fail, they would be looking a potential loss of up to £200 million from the competition and "could well" be docked points in the Premier League - this with obvious consequences. The ban would mean the 5th placed team qualifying for the CL and then there's the points deduction - further lost revenue (although I don't think it will bother them too much!!). The problem that pundits are saying they have is keping hold of their manager and top stars - plus enticing new stars to the club.
