Why should one go to the north for camping, where it is much colder than in Bangkok.

These places get absolutely rammed as soon as the temperature drops. The whole ambiance is totally lost though with the excessive noise, SUVs parked a meter away from the tents and rich kids on sportsbikes belting about.
