Golfed here yesterday. Was sports day so 50% off golf. Only 200 baht for 18 holes. Regular 400.
This is an 18 hole layout. We did the full 18 but you can just play the front nine twice if you choose. Caddies asked us what we wanted to do. We said all the 18. If I knew better I would have done the front nine twice. Don't have carts but have a driving range. Caddies 180 plus tip.
I'm a pretty fair golfer (8 HDCP) and the back nine was the toughest I've ever played. On one par five I hit 8 iron off the tee then two lob wedges and two putts for par. Perhaps many years ago when they first built it it wasn't too bad but the back nine has really been let go. Quite a lot of elevation too. One par 3 is about 135 yds but it must have at least 50ft of elevation up to the green. The most I've ever encountered.
Fairways aren't watered. Greens and surrounds are a bit so quite dry right now.
I enjoy finding and trying these little gens and having a go but I wouldn't play this one regularly. Worth a try once if you are in Ranong but don't make a trip just for the golf.
