Maybe check with your senior doctor friend at BH.
Oh I'm not excited and I don't need to check with anyone thanks. My previous post is a statement of fact

I'm merely comparing apples with apples on the published figures, as stated this week and last, but which you clearly object to because it doesn't suit your agenda but that's your prerogative.

But equally it's my prerogative to comment on the published data

All time high daily cases in Thailand circa 22,000 last August, now below 8000 per day around 36% of peak

Thank you for your input

I can assure you, I have no agenda whatsoever. I'm neither anti or pro anything regarding Covid, With a victim laying alone just the other side of the bedroom door, I am purely reflecting fact, but what do facts have to do with it?

I'd invite you around to see for yourself, but my house is a no-go zone until 7th Feb. I will say no more about it.

We’ve all lived not knowing how accurate any figures are relating to Thailand - it would be nice to think that the published data bears some resemblance to the trends even if they’re way under-reported, but we’ll probably never know. From a personal perspective, I don’t worry too much either way - I’ve had 3 jabs so as well protected as I can be, I take reasonable precautions against exposure to unnecessary risks and that’s about it.

I'm very sorry guys, but having a sick relative in the next room, and seeing what is happening regarding Covid reporting, I do not feel I can continue reporting the official daily numbers via my daily spreadsheet. To do so would be potentially spreading false information, which is not permitted. I apologise for any mis-information I might have already reported.

Incidentally, she is well on the road to recovery, and the rest of us (triple vaccinated) are testing negative.

Glad to hear that your relative is on the mend.

You, Pete and Joelle have done sterling work over the past 2 years in keeping us up to date with everything local, Covid wise. Hopefully as we look to be slowly moving towards the endgame, the ramping down of information will do nobody any harm.

Here’s looking forward to a brighter 2022!!

At the moment, with little or no official testing, bar entering the Country, I dont believe there is any end game for Thailand. Once or twice a week, my other half in Bkk tells me of another covid case linked to offices and staff she manages or visits. A little while back, this simply wasn't the case. She is tested officially with an AG(?) kit weekly and adds to that herself a couple of times a week.

The difference, as we are aware of and as demonstrated by BB's situation, is the severity of the effects.

As DB say's, all we can do is follow precautions, have the jabs, wear a mask and stay alert.

First mention I've seen of a cluster in Hua Na market. It's just a couple of minutes away from me and visited daily. No signs warning of infections at the market and it remains open every day.
The cluster showed just +2 today. That implies there were more earlier.

Anyone know more?

It has been mentioned quite regularly. Nobody can be sure, but that is where my daughter-in-law thinks she caught it.

My fault for being too lazy to read the detail. Thanks for that although nobody here knows anything about it. Life has continued as normal at the market.
