Flying to/from Thailand (Covid Era)
Re: Flying to/from Thailand, latest updates
Flight prices are back to normal for autumn, it's just the summer holiday period that's ridiculously over priced.
Re: Flying to/from Thailand, latest updates
Yep, have noticed prices calming down in late September and October. There is still a premium attached to flying into Bangkok though.

Anyone know if there still are some regulations at Suvarnabhumi going out/returning. Airline says no except mask onboard?
Thank you

Flying to/from Thailand, latest updates
I recently made a trip from Thailand to the U.S. and it seems very easy now. The U.S. has since dropped the PCR requirement and returning to Thailand was a breeze. No immigration form, smooth immigration as still minimal arrivals. Long may it continue.Hahuahin wrote:Anyone know if there still are some regulations at Suvarnabhumi going out/returning. Depends on your travel destinations. Some countries still require a PCR. If flying to/from the U.K. then should be straight forward.
I seen something about MonkeyPox screening but that was not in place when I arrived a fortnight or so ago.
Make sure your vaccination cert is easily available when travelling. I had on my phone and was asked for it during transit.
Masks seem to still be the norm on the plane as at BKK airport. As a courtesy we are also still wearing at malls/shops/restaurants, etc.

To return to Thailand you must have a vaccination certificate, usually 3 doses, or a certified Covid test.
Re: Flying to/from Thailand, latest updates
Two shots is all that is required at the moment to enter Thailand.

Thank you for the replies. I going out next week (Lufthansa) and supposed to return mid September. I'm vaccinated with 3 shots here and got the yellow vaccination book at Hua Hin hospital last year. I have a phone but no apps there and I don't want any so hope the book will do.

Flew Thai to Heathrow yesterday and whilst most people were wearing masks at Swampy, a lot weren't and noone was enforcing it.
Likewise on the flight. Most were not wearing masks.

Have they scrapped that and if so how are they of us on extension actually get on with 90 days report etc.,Ginjaninja wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 9:46 pmI recently made a trip from Thailand to the U.S. and it seems very easy now. Yes, the entry/departure cards are scrapped.
But you've still got an entry stamp so count your days from there.

When I checked in in Vienna on July 30th, I was asked about travel insurance (not Covid insurance). Only when I proved to live in Thailand I didn't need it.

According to the Thai website you don’t need any insurance for travel to Thailand
