Greetings all,
My wife and I are relocating from Bangkok to Cha-am this week, and normally I'd be planning on socialising heavily on arrival to meet fellow expats...but that won't be happening for a while I guess.
Some background - I'm from the UK, been in Thailand for 17 years and work as a journalist (BP). We've decided to leave Bangkok for a while as we re-evaluate our longer term plans. I've been visiting Cha-am and HH regularly over the years so have a good idea of what to expect.
Once things get back to normal I'll be looking to enjoy beach life, weekends in HH, live music, pub quizzes, motorbike trips and regular visits to Bangkok for work or when beach life feels a bit too slooooowww....
best,
Gary

Welcome to the forum.
I assume BP means Bangkok Post? You might do well to avoid some of the news threads then!!

Haha, thanks Caller, that's good advice. Yes, I'm with the Bangkok Post...and after work, the last thing I want to do is browse news threads.
