You do, and you cant use THB so UK investments are not really relevant in this thread!

Yes but not for longer than 3 years.

5.8 is about best for 5 years

All rates are widely regarded as having peaked and may start to come down despite further base rate rises

It depends - if you have a SIPP set up you can simply ask the administrators to buy bonds. Having said that if you have access to a UK address you can anyway - I read of one company who's only requirement was you had a UK bank account
