356-3 approaching lunch. It's a Stokes masterclass at the moment, on 81 not out.

Is it a case of England being vastly improved that was the shambles against Australia, the Windies playing well below par, or a bit of both?lindosfan1 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 4:54 pm 2nd test against the West Indies, England 244 for 3 Root not out 119 Lawrence out for 91 on the penultimate ball of the first day.

Re: Cricket
As much as anything it's to do with a flat lifeless pitch that is offering some pretty average bowlers no assistance whatsoever and making life pretty easy for the batsmen. Root out for 150+ and Stokes approaching his century.

Re: Cricket
Second day Egland 507 for 9 declared Root 153 Stokes 120. West Indies 71 for 1 at close of play.
As DM said lifeless pitch bowling not that good., after 2 days with a below par scoring rate this match is heading for a draw.

Hell, the excitement of Test Cricket.... Seems to lack a lot these days - characters included.

Day 3 West Indies 28 for 4, Blackwood and Braithwaite scored centuries, very slow scoring rate.

Re: Cricket
Well this test match must be the most boring one ever. England score 505 off of 150 overs, the West Indies 351 off of 151 overs. 51 balls with only 1 run scored and there have been 52 maiden overs so far in the windies innings.
The pitch is poor with no life but this game is dead.

Re: Cricket
My hat is safe, England 2nd innings 185 for 6, West Indies 135 for 5. All the way through this match a draw was obvious, lets hope the next match has a decent pitch, it is important they have good groundsmen preparing the pitches, this pitch was abominable.

Re: Cricket
Third and last test in the West Indies, England batted first on a good bowling wicket. England were all out for 204, each and Mahmood put on a a good display and scored 90. The West Indies to advantage of the bowling conditions. England must get early wickets on the second day.
