Buying HDMI Cable in Hua Hin

Post by Big Boy »

This feels like a stupid question, but I guess all questions are relevant if you don't know the answer

With everything being closed, does anybody know where I can buy a HDMI cable please? I am trying to avoid Lazada/Shopee lead (pun not intended) times.

HomePro has in their on-line store. I've bought bathroom fixtures from them recently on-line and delivery is good.

Yes, thank you. It has reminded me they had a sort of drive through service operating last time. Will try that first.

Are they allowed to sell them, when the big malls aren't?

I'm sure that PowerBuy shop would have them, or any of Hua Hin's small computer shops that don't have much else in the way of stock.

Again, since becoming half-supermarket, I'm unsure as to whether the Power Buy side would actually be selling. I'll get my son to nip down on his bike to check Power Buy and Shopping Mall.

My son actually found one in Tops (with Power Buy stickers), My daughter-in-law had also found me an old cable, so problem solved - twice.

Thanks guys.

So to complete the story and to assist others..... How much was the Tops one? And for what length?

Assume you've tested it and it works OK....

In my experience HDMI cable performance can vary a lot depending on quality.

I bought one in Tops today

1.5m, version 2.0

I asked one of the many assistants for an HDMI cable. I was promptly and quite confidently told, "Sorry Sir no have!"

I immediately said "Er no, my friend bought one here the other day!" He then muttered some nonsense so I abandoned him as a waste of space!

I chose another assistant who then promptly showed me an absolute array of HDMI cables(I find this an regular occurrence in Hua Hin stores, completely contradictory advice from 2 different shop assistants).

Prices ranged from 220 to 990. I chose the cheapest one, mainly because I'm a tight git! But also because I'm very sceptical about the higher priced cables(are they really worth it?)

The one I chose was priced up at 220 baht but for some reason I was charged 150 baht only!(promo?)

Anyway its works fine, I'm pleased to say Image
