Miller Lite only this weekend until supplies last! How do you ever get rid of something that awful at any price. Note I did not use the term "beer" in reference to Miller lite.

So easy to change the meaning of a statement by missing out a key line. You must have been a politician, journalist or policeman in your past.

Try reading the whole message. It says first one free and then 90 baht per bottle after. It does not state that you have to drink another you could revert to your normal beer.

Therefore if you can add up, you get one Warsteiner for free, the second one for 90 baht. That means you get two for 90 baht making them 45 baht each on average. Even one free and two at 90 baht still only comes to 180 baht. Divide that by three and you get 60 baht per bottle. You could buy eight bottles and with and get your one free at 720 baht before you reach 80 baht per bottle.

Both Leon and Oi are using standard marketing tecniques to move stock. It is common in most business when a line is about to be discontinued so that a new line or the same line revamped can be introduced.

Now if you can drink 8 bottles of Warsteiner Dark on one session I will buy you a large Black Label and a sick bucket for free.

A bit of advice to you. Read before write. Listen before speak.

Flyboy nice to meet a fellow Chang lover. In london you can get most beers and as they sponsor everton I think it is you would think you would be able to get it here. Me thinks its because of its strength. They dont like that sort of thing here now do they.

I think many would argue that Chang is a good value beer. Problem is they stopped us from getting an English commentary for the World cup.

The good thing is I learnt the Thai for "That stupid twat Rooney has just stepped on Carvallo's Bollocks and now he is pushing one of his own club mates around".

If you want something done properly do it yourself. Saves money too. No vet bills.

No that's not it. Beer strengths are varied around the world to suit local markets. Jamaican Red Stripe vs Bedford Red Stripe, Chiswick ESB vs Californian ESB, Phillipino Red Horse vs Thai Red Horse etc. etc. etc.

I wondered why Chang have sponsored Everton when they do not market the beer in Europe. It may just be that is is worthwhile just for the Asian TV coverage but also could be the long running dispute with Carlsberg getting in the way. Time will tell.

Hi H2ODunc,

Great to meet another Chang lover!

I visit my daughter in Oxfordshire several times a year and have wondered why Chang is not available in Brit pubs given the Premiership sponsorship.

In Canada, the only Thai beer regularly available is Singha and then only in Asian restaurants. I can "special order" Chang by the case through our Liquor Board but the want an arm and a leg for it. Almost cheaper to fly to Bangkok. Og well I can last for another 80 odd days. :)

The strength of the beer has nowt to do with Chang not being available - just look at Belgium beers, special brew etc. Maybe the the Chang sponsorship is aimed at breaking down the last bastion of control Singha may still have - export?

Funny thing is, I first drank Chang because I was concerned about the alcohol content of Singha - little did I know?

My beer of choice for drinking at home when in LOS, well in the holiday bungalow in any case, with step-son in tow on my last trip, was Leo, because it had less strength and when so cold, they all taste similar to me.

Took a couple of boxes of big bottles to the wifes village, not sure how it was received, it was all drunk, but they are committed Chang drinkers, with ice of course!
Talk is cheap
