Increasing Margarine Prices

Post by Big Boy »

My son paid 3 x 265฿ for 3 x 500gm Flora in Lotus's today. I've ruled that is the last time we buy Flora. Does anybody have any sensible alternatives please? £5.80 for a tub of margarine is way OTT.

I've been searching the online shopping sites, and this looks promising - anybody tried it?

i think you will be butterly disappointed with something like that
i think wall putty from Home Pro would taste better
coming from a country where a 500 gm tub of Meadow Lea was often on special at $ 2 .., same with Flora
thats 49 baht...
currently using Nuttelex with Olive Oil
it taste just fine..
way nicer than the butter blends

Thank you - that looks a reasonably priced alternative at 125฿ for 375gm at Tops.

NB: If I get too many responses, I'll move this to a dedicated margarine thread.

I've been using Olive Grove, made with olive oil. it comes in 3 different sizes and is available everywhere. Today, at Villa it was 175bht for 375 gr. Spreads easily and is made of real food.

I've noticed AP have had a long overdue delivery of Kerrymaid, which is very reasonably priced at 119฿ for 500g.
